2008 Pontiac Grand Prix BaseSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the lift gate applique (3) to the lift gate.
  2. NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  3. Install the lift gate applique nut (4).

    Tighten:  Tighten the lift gate applique nut to 4.0 N.m (35 lb in).

  4. Install the lift gate lock cylinder (2). Refer to Liftgate Lock Cylinder Replacement .
  5. Install the lift gate handle (1). Refer to Liftgate Outside Handle Replacement .
  6. Install the lift gate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement .
  7. Close lift gate.
