Removal Procedure

2008 Pontiac Grand Prix BaseSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the catalytic converter guard. Refer to Catalytic Converter Guard Replacement .
  3. Remove the transfer case shield. Refer to Transfer Case Shield Replacement .
  4. Support the transmission with a suitable stand or jack.

  6. Remove the nuts retaining the transmission mount to the transmission support.
  7. Raise the transmission.

  9. Remove the bolts and the nuts retaining the transmission support to the frame.
  10. Remove the transmission support from the frame.
