- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the assist step if equipped. Refer to Assist Step Replacement (w/WS2, BVX) or Assist Step Replacement (Tubular BVE) .
- Remove the EVAP canister vent valve bracket. Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Vent Solenoid Valve Replacement .
- Remove the mounting bolts.
- Remove the rocker panel protector from the vehicle.
