Installation Procedure

2008 Pontiac Grand Prix BaseSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connector to the midgate latch.

  3. Position the midgate latch to the midgate structure.
  4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  5. Install the screws retaining the midgate latch to the midgate structure.

    Tighten:  Tighten the midgate latch screws to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  7. Install the midgate window run channel. Refer to Midgate Window Channel Replacement .
  8. Install the midgate window. Refer to Midgate Window Replacement .

  10. Install the midgate inner panel. Refer to Midgate Inner Panel Replacement .
  11. Inspect the midgate window and latches for proper operation.
