2008 Pontiac Grand Prix BaseSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Position the handle to the endgate.
  2. Loosely install the fasteners.

  4. Connect the lock rods (1, 3) to the handle assembly (2).
  5. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  6. Connect the lock rod clips (4, 5).

    Tighten:  Tighten the endgate handle bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  8. Secure the trim panel bezel to the endgate. Lift the handle slightly to assist in bezel installation.
  9. Secure the bezel clips.
  10. Close the endgate.
  11. Latch and secure the spare tire carrier.
