- With the help of an assistant, position the fuel tank shield on the fuel tank.
- Hand tighten inner fuel tank shield mounting nut.
- Hand tighten the outer fuel tank shield mounting nut.
- Tighten the fuel tank shield nuts.Tighten:
- Tighten the 6 mm nuts to 9 N.m (80 in lb).
- Tighten the 8 mm nuts to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).
Lower the vehicle.
