- Open the spare tire carrier to the full open position.
- Open the endgate.
- Release the plastic retainer at the endgate side of the bed rail protector.
- Remove the screws securing the cargo box rail to the body.
- Remove the bed rail.
- Release the retainer clips.
- Lift and remove the cargo box rail protector.
