Removal Procedure
2008 Pontiac Grand Prix BaseSECTION Removal Procedure

- Disable the SIR System. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
- Remove the steering wheel inflatable restraint module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement .
- Remove the bolts (1) from the steering wheel cover and lift the steering wheel cover from the steering wheel.
- Remove the steering wheel radio controls (2) from the steering wheel cover.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors from the radio control switches.
- Remove the screws (1) from the A/T tap shift switches, if equipped.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.
- Remove the tap shift switches (2).
