2008 Pontiac Grand Prix BaseSECTION Circuit/System Testing

IMPORTANT: If DTC resets after rezeroing, it may be necessary to perform this rezeroing procedure several times.
  1. Ignition ON, use the scan tool. Use the scan tool to clear all SIR and PPS DTCs. Refer to Passenger Presence System Flash Code Procedures . Rezero the PPS, refer to Passenger Presence System Rezeroing . Verify DTC 034 exist.
  2. Remove the PPS and passenger seat bottom cushion assembly and allow to air dry (approximately 24 hours). Reinstall the PPS and seat bottom cushion assembly. Note: refer to Passenger Presence System (PPS) Replacement  in repair instructions.
  3. Ignition ON, use the scan tool. Use the scan tool to clear all SIR and PPS DTCs. Refer to Passenger Presence System Flash Code Procedures . Rezero the PPS, refer to Passenger Presence System Rezeroing . Verify DTC 034 exist.
  4. Replace the PPS if DTC 034 reset.
