DISASSEMBLY
1.6 Liter Engine
1. Remove rotor from shaft, Fig. 6.
2. Remove Hall Effect pickup assembly lock springs and the pickup assembly.
3. Mark position of drive gear on distributor shaft.
4. Remove roll pin with a suitable punch.
5. Remove drive gear, then the distributor shaft from housing.
6. Remove nylon spacer from shaft.
ASSEMBLY
1.6 Liter Engine
1. Lightly lubricate housing bushings with engine oil.
2. Install shaft into housing, ensuring nylon spacer is resting on housing bushing.
3. Install drive gear onto distributor shaft in original position, aligning mating marks.
4. Drive in roll pin.
5. Place Hall Effect pickup assembly into housing and secure with lock springs.
6. Install rotor onto shaft.
