- Loosen the fuel fill cap to relieve the fuel system pressure.
- Disconnect the fuel pump electrical connector (1).
- Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Clean the fuel pipe connections and surrounding areas at the pump before disconnecting to avoid possible fuel system contamination.
- Disconnect the fuel pipes from the pump.
- Slide the pump out of the bracket.
- Cap the fuel pipes.
