Installation Procedure

2004 Oldsmobile Bravada RWDSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the fuel feed front pipe (1).

  3. Install the fuel feed front hose to the fuel feed front pipe.
  4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Install the fuel feed front pipe bracket nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  7. Install the fuel pipe clips and bolts to the intake.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 16 N.m (11 lb ft).

  9. Install the fuel pipe clip and bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 16 N.m (11 lb ft).

  11. Install the heater pipe and bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  13. Install the A/C compressor/power steering pump bracket. Refer to Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor and Power Steering Pump Mounting Bracket Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 6.6L.
  14. Connect the fuel feed and return pipes from the chassis pipes. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Metal Collar) .
  15. Install the water outlet tube. Refer to Water Outlet Tube Replacement (6.6L (LB7) Engine) or Water Outlet Tube Replacement (6.6L (LLY) Engine) in Engine Cooling.
  16. Install the charged air cooler inlet duct to the turbocharger.
  17. Align the mark on the duct (2) with the mark on the turbocharger.
  18. Position the clamp (1) as shown for proper clearance.

    Tighten:  Tighten the clamp to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  20. Install the charged air cooler outlet duct to the intake.
  21. Align the mark on the duct (3) with the mark on the turbocharger.
  22. Position the clamp (1) as shown for proper clearance.

    Tighten:  Tighten the clamp to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  24. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
  25. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Single Battery) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Auxiliary Battery) in Engine Electrical.
