2004 Oldsmobile Bravada RWDSECTION Installation Procedure

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Install the bumper impact bar to the vehicle as follows:
    1. Position the bumper impact bar on the bumper brackets so that the holes in the impact bar are aligned with the bracket holes.
    2. Install 2 bolt plates and 4 nuts on top of the impact bar.
    3. Install 2 bolt and nuts through the bottom of the impact bar.

      Tighten 

      Tighten the rear bumper impact bar nuts to 90 N.m (66 lb ft).

  2. Install the license plate to the bumper.
  3. Install the license plate lamps. Refer to LICENSE LAMP REPLACEMENT (W/ STEP BUMPER) or LICENSE LAMP REPLACEMENT (W/O STEP BUMPER) or LICENSE LAMP REPLACEMENT (FILLER PANEL) in Lighting Systems.
  4. Install the step pad to the bumper. Refer to STEP PAD REPLACEMENT - REAR BUMPER (PICKUP)  or STEP PAD REPLACEMENT - REAR BUMPER (UTILITY) .

When to See a Mechanic
