Installation Procedure
Important: The key should be in the off position when connecting the HVAC control module electrical connector to ensure proper calibration.
- Connect the HVAC control module electrical connector.
- Install the HVAC control module into the I/P opening.
- Install the HVAC control module retaining screws.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).
- Install the IP cluster trim plate bezel. Refer to TRIM PLATE BEZEL REPLACEMENT -- INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) CLUSTER (AZTEK)
or TRIM PLATE BEZEL REPLACEMENT -- INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) CLUSTER (RENDEZVOUS)

Important: Do not adjust any controls on the HVAC control module while the HVAC control module is self-calibrating. If interrupted, improper HVAC performance will result.
The engine must be running for proper calibration to occur.
- Start and allow the engine to run for a least one minute.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:
- • You smell fuel, burning insulation, or see smoke.
- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- • The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
- • You are missing required tools, torque specs, or safe lifting equipment.
- • You are not confident in the next step or safety outcome.
