Vehicle Speed Sensor: Installation

Clean and dry the vehicle speed sensor. Install the vehicle speed sensor and the retaining stud. See Fig 1. Tighten the stud to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install the electrical connector at the sensor. Lower the vehicle. Connect the negative battery cable. Check fluid level. See CHECKING FLUID LEVELS  under LUBRICATION.
