Installation Procedure

2004 Oldsmobile Bravada RWDSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the battery insulator to the battery.

    Important:  Do not tip the battery more than 40 degrees during installation.

  2. Install the battery (3).

  4. Install the battery hold down retainer (2).
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  5. Install the battery hold down retainer bolt (1). Tighten the battery hold down retainer bolt to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).
  6. Connect the battery positive cable to the battery. Tighten the battery positive cable bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

  8. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .
