2004 Oldsmobile Bravada RWDSECTION Installation Procedure

CAUTION: Do not use or attempt to repair a damaged cooling fan assembly. Replace damaged fans with new assemblies. An unbalanced cooling fan could fly apart causing personal injury and property damage.
  1. Install the fan clutch onto the fan blade.
  2. Install the fan clutch bolts. Tighten the fan clutch bolts to 23 N.m (17 lb ft).
  3. Install the fan assembly.
  4. If equipped with a 6.6L, engine, install the J41240-5A  to the fan clutch.
  5. If equipped with a 4.3L, 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L or 8.1L engine, install the J 41240  to the fan clutch. Tighten the fan clutch nut to 56 N.m (41 lb ft).
  6. Install the upper fan shroud. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement - Upper (W/O M74)  or Fan Shroud Replacement - Upper (W/M74)  .
