Installation Procedure

2004 Oldsmobile Bravada RWDSECTION Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2002 GMC Yukon XL, 2002 GMC Yukon, 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2002 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the interior dome lamp assembly to the new headliner.

  3. With the aid of an assistant carefully slide the headliner in through the rear of the vehicle.
  4. Secure the headliner to the roof Velcro(R) retainers while aligning the air duct at the right of the third pillar.
  5. Install the retainer through the air outlet louver
  6. Install the air outlet louver by turning clockwise till it is seated in place.
  7. Install the auxiliary climate control assembly. Refer to HVAC CONTROL ASSEMBLY .
  8. Install the assist handles. Refer to Assist Handle Replacement - Rear  .
  9. Install the interior dome lamp. Refer to DOME LAMP REPLACEMENT .
  10. Install the rear coat hook, if equipped. Refer to Coat Hook Replacement  .
  11. Install the sunshade holders to the headliner.
  12. Install the front sunshades. Refer to Sunshade Replacement  .
  13. Connect the electrical connector to the rear view mirror, if needed.
  14. Install the upper console. Refer to Console Replacement - Overhead (Full Length)  or Console Replacement - Overhead (Short Length)  .
  15. Install the rear corner trim pillar moldings. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Rear Corner  .
  16. Install the third pillar trim moldings. Refer to Trim Replacement - Third Pillar (Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade/Suburban)  or Trim Replacement - Third Pillar (Avalanche/Escalade EXT)  .
  17. Install the center trim pillar moldings. Refer to Trim Replacement - Third Pillar (Avalanche/Escalade EXT)  .
  18. Carefully route the wire harness through the IP in order to connect the wire to the junction block located next the brake pedal.
  19. Install the transfer case control module, if equipped. Refer to TRANSFER CASE SHIFT CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT .
