WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Aztek and 2003 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: DO NOT use a scan tool that displays faulty data. The use of a faulty scan tool can result in misdiagnosis and the unnecessary replacement of parts. Only the parameters listed under SCAN TOOL DEFINITIONS  are used in diagnosing. If a scan tool displays other parameters, the values are not recommended by General Motors for use in diagnosis.

Only use scan tool diagnostics under the following conditions:

  • The Diagnostic System Check is complete.
  • The on-board diagnostics are functioning properly.
  • No DTCs are present.

The values listed in AWD SCAN TOOL DATA LIST  table represent a typical display recorded from a properly functioning system, recorded under the following conditions:

  • Closed throttle.
  • Transmission in PARK.
  • Closed Loop operation.
