Rezeroing Procedure
2004 Oldsmobile Bravada RWDSECTION Rezeroing Procedure

- Ensure passenger front seat is empty. Verify that all SIR and PPS components, connectors and Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clips are installed correctly. Install scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC), located under left side of instrument panel.NOTE: All SIR and PPS DTC's must be cleared before rezeroing PPS. Presence of current or history DTC's will prevent PPS from rezeroing.
- Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear SIR and PPS DTC's. Request PPS rezeroing procedure using scan tool.
- When rezeroing procedure is initiated, PPS will illuminate both PASSENGER AIR BAG ON and OFF indicators, located on rear view mirror until rezeroing procedure in completed:
- When rezeroing procedure has been successfully completed, PPS will display current system status in rear view mirror indicator.
- If rezeroing procedure was unsuccessful, both PASSENGER AIR BAG ON and OFF indicators, located on rear view mirror will alternate from no illumination to full illumination in one second intervals for 5 seconds. PPS will treat an unsuccessful rezero attempt as a system fault.
- If rezeroing procedure was unsuccessful, repeat this procedure. Due to communication status between SDM and PPS, rezeroing procedure may need to be repeated until a successful flash sequence has been achieved. Go to SIR DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
