2004 Oldsmobile Bravada RWDSECTION Installation
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 GMC Safari and 2003 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION: The accelerator cable is not to be kinked or damaged in any way during installation. Ensure that the mounting surface between the accelerator pedal assembly and the dash panel is free of insulation. The carpet and padding in the pedal area must be positioned to lay flat and be free of wrinkles and bunches. Wire, hoses, cables, and other flexible components should not be within 0.52" (13 mm) of the cable or lever, at any point in their travel. The pedal must operate freely without binding through the full range of pedal movement.

Place the accelerator pedal assembly on the mounting surface. Install the three mounting bolts. Tighten mounting bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Lift upward on the accelerator pedal. Insert the cable through the pedal lever slot. Press the retainer into the lever hole until fully seated. Check the pedal for free movement by pressing down on the pedal.
