Fill Valve-To-Union Fill Line: Installation

2004 Oldsmobile Bravada RWDSECTION Installation

  1. Install the fill line at the union with a new "O" ring face seal. Lubricate the "O" ring with petroleum jelly or equivalent. Tighten the fill line fitting to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Install the fill line (3) at the fill valve (5) with a new "O" ring face seal. Lubricate the "O" ring with petroleum jelly, or equivalent. Tighten the fill line fitting to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Connect the negative battery cable. Tighten the bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  4. Connect the HPL power harness connector.
  5. Start the engine. Check for CNG fuel leaks at each serviced fitting using the Combustible Gas Detector (J 45878), or equivalent.
  6. Slip the vent boot over the fill valve fitting. Tighten the fill valve boot clamp to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  7. Install the left wheelhouse carpet, the cargo net knobs and the cargo net.
  8. Install the trunk trim panel.
  9. Install the fuel tank cover.
