Fuel Pump: Removal

2004 Oldsmobile Bravada RWDSECTION Removal

NOTE: The numbers in parenthesis in removal and installation procedures refer to numbered components in referenced figure(s).
  1. Remove the fuel sender assembly. See FUEL SENDER ASSEMBLY  .
  2. Remove the lower cap (9) and the lower cushion (8) from the fuel sender assembly. See Fig 1 .
  3. Remove the fuel pressure regulator (6).
  4. Disconnect the fuel level sensor harness connector.
  5. Remove the fuel level sensor (3).
  6. Remove the fuel sender top cap (2) from the fuel filter assembly.
  7. Disconnect the fuel pump harness connector.
  8. Remove the fuel pump (11) from the fuel filter assembly (13). See Fig 1 .
  9. Remove the locking ring (10) for the fuel strainer from the fuel pump. See Fig 1 .
