2004 Oldsmobile Bravada RWDSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the hood release cable end to the latch.

  2. Install the hood latch (1) to the radiator support (3).
  3. Install the hood latch bolts (2) loosely.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  4. Adjust the hood latch height so that when the hood is closed, the hood is held securely against the front hood bumpers.
  5. Raise the hood.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the hood latch bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  6. Adjust the front hood bumpers so that the top of the hood is flush with the fenders.
  7. Install the upper radiator support baffle. Refer to RADIATOR AIR BAFFLE AND DEFLECTOR REPLACEMENT-UPPER .
