Installation Procedure
2004 Oldsmobile Bravada RWDSECTION Installation Procedure

- Install a new O-ring to the vehicle.
- Install the water pump to the vehicle.
- Use 6 bolts (1, 2) in order to secure the water pump.
Tighten:
- On LV6 engine, tighten the water pump bolts (1) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
- Tighten the water pump bolts (2) to 11 N.m (8 lb ft).
- On LNK engine, tighten the water pump bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
- Install the left side lower engine splash shield. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement - Engine - Left in Body Front End.
- Install the right side lower engine splash shield. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement - Engine - Right in Body Front End.
- Lower the vehicle.
- On LV6 engine, install the water pump pulley.
Tighten: Tighten the water pump pulley bolts to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
- On all engines, install the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement in Engine Electrical.
- Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
- Use approved engine coolant in order to fill the radiator. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System .
- Start the engine.
- Inspect the system for leaks.
