Removal Procedure

2004 Oldsmobile Bravada RWDSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .
  2. Remove the right front diagonal brace. Refer to BRACE REPLACEMENT -- SHEET METAL DIAGONAL .
  3. Disconnect the positive battery cable.

  4. Remove the battery hold down retainer bolt (1).
  5. Remove the battery hold down retainer (2).
    IMPORTANT: Do not tip the battery more than 40 degrees during removal.
  6. Remove the battery (3).

  7. Remove the battery insulator from the battery.
