Camshaft Position Sensor: Installation

Ensure the CMP sensor bore is completely free of any foreign material, such as old "O" ring, dirt, burrs, etc. Ensure that the flange on the CMP sensor bore is not damaged. Clean all mounting surfaces before reinstalling any components. Lubricate the CMP sensor "O" ring with clean engine oil. Install CMP sensor. Tighten CMP sensor bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Connect CMP sensor connector. Position coolant recovery tank onto the mounting studs. Install coolant recovery tank mounting nuts.
