DTC P0650: Malfunction Indicator Light Control Circuit: Description

2004 Oldsmobile Bravada RWDSECTION Description
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix, 2002 Pontiac Bonneville, 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, 2002 Chevrolet Impala, and 2002 Buick Regal. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Output Driver Modules (ODMs) are used by Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to turn on many current-driven devices that are needed to control various engine and transaxle functions. Each ODM is capable of controlling up to 7 separate outputs by applying ground to device which PCM is commanding on. Unlike Quad Driver Modules (QDMs) used in prior model years, ODMs have capability of diagnosing each output circuit individually. DTC sets when there is an improper voltage level on output circuit that controls Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL).
