2004 Oldsmobile Bravada AWDSECTION Installation Procedure

Important:  Do not reuse the old gasket if it is damaged, replaced it. Do not use any type of sealer in place of the gasket.

  1. Install the new transfer case adapter seal.
  2. Install the transfer adapter.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the transfer case adapter mounting bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the transfer case adapter mounting bolts to 550 N.m (40 lb ft).

  4. Install a new gasket the transfer case gasket.

  5. Install the transfer case assembly. Refer to TRANSFER CASE ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT  .

When to See a Mechanic
