- Position the assist rods to the lift gate.
- Install the upper end of the assist rods to the ball joint. Press into place until fully seated.
- Install the lower end of the assist rods to the ball joint. Press into place until fully seated.
- Remove the support from the lift gate.
- Close the lift gate.
