System Operation Check: Prizm
Turn ignition switch from OFF to ON position. AIR BAG warning light should illuminate steady for 6 seconds, then go off. The following AIR BAG warning light conditions indicate possible SIR system faults.
- Light is on with ignition switch in OFF position.
- Light remains on after 6 seconds when ignition switch is turned from OFF to ON.
- Light flashes continuously when ignition switch is turned from OFF to ON.
- Light displays flash code DTCs.
Diagnose SIR system and repair as necessary.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:
