2004 Oldsmobile Bravada AWDSECTION Installation Procedure

Important:  Make sure the O-ring is seated in the O-ring groove.

  1. Install the O-ring seal (1) to the steering gear.
  2. Install the steering gear motor (2) to the vehicle.
  3. Install the bolts (1) retaining the steering gear motor (2) to the steering gear. Tighten the 6 mm (0.24 in) steering gear motor retaining bolts to 10 N.m (89 in lbs). Tighten the 4 mm (0.16 in) steering gear motor retaining bolts to 4 N.m (35 in lbs).

    Important:  Route the wiring harness in the same location as the wiring was removed.

  4. Connect the electrical connectors to the control module (2).
  5. Connect the electrical connector (1) to the rear position sensor.
  6. Connect the wire harness retaining clips.
  7. Install the spare tire to the vehicle.
  8. Lower the vehicle.
