- Install the coil spring and upper strut mount to the J-45400.
- Turn the spring compressor forcing screw until the coil spring is compressed. See Figure.
- Install the strut to the coil spring and upper strut mount.
- Install the strut retaining nut. Using the J-42991 and a 45 TORX® socket, install the strut mount nut. See Figure. Tighten the strut mount nut to 85 N.m (63 lb ft).
- Remove the strut from the J-45400.
- Install the strut to the vehicle. See STRUT ASSEMBLY .
