Strut Assembly: Installation

2004 Oldsmobile Bravada AWDSECTION Installation

  1. Install the strut into place. See Figure.
  2. Install the strut to knuckle bolts. Tighten the strut to knuckle bolts and nuts to 120 N.m (89 lb ft).
  3. Install the bolt to the brake hose bracket and the strut assembly. See Figure. Tighten the bolt to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).
  4. Connect the stabilizer shaft link to the strut. See STABILIZER SHAFT LINK .
  5. Install the tire and wheel.
  6. Install strut to body mount nuts. See Figure. Tighten the strut to body mount nuts to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Adjust the rear wheel alignment. See SPECIFICATIONS .
