Repair Instructions: Knuckle: Installation

2004 Oldsmobile Bravada AWDSECTION Installation

  1. Install the knuckle to the vehicle. See Figure.
  2. Hand start the strut to knuckle bolts and nuts. Do not tighten the nuts at this time.
  3. Connect the rear suspension trailing arm to the knuckle. See Figure. See TRAILING ARM .
  4. Connect the rear wheel spindle rods to the knuckle. See SPINDLE ROD .
  5. Install the bearing/hub assembly. See WHEEL BEARING/HUB (REAR) . Tighten the strut to knuckle bolts to 122 N.m (90 lb ft).
  6. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Inspect the rear wheel alignment, adjust if necessary. See SPECIFICATIONS .
