Leaf Spring: Installation
2004 Oldsmobile Bravada AWDSECTION Installation

- Install the leaf spring assembly to the vehicle.
- Loosely assemble the spring to the front hanger bracket. See Figure .
- Install the front spring hanger bracket bolt.
- Install the front spring hanger bracket nut.
- Install the rear shackle to the spring bolt. See Figure .
- Install the shackle to the spring nut.
- Install the spring spacer.
- Install the U-bolts. See Figure .
- Install the anchor plate.
- Install U-bolt nuts. Tighten the fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the fuel tank, if necessary. Tighten the fuel tank strap bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the trailer hitch (if equipped).
- Connect the RTD sensor harness connector to the vehicle harness connector (if equipped).
- Remove the rear axle support.
- Remove the safety stands.
- Lower the vehicle.
NOTE:
DO NOT reuse the U-bolts.
