Removal Procedure

2004 Oldsmobile Bravada AWDSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the SIR module. Refer to STEERING WHEEL in Air Bag Restraint Systems.
  2. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement .
  3. Remove the SIR coil. Refer to SIR COIL ASSEMBLY in Air Bag Restraint Systems.
  4. Using a thin-bladed screwdriver, remove the lock cylinder bezel.

  6. Remove the shroud fasteners.
  7. Remove the upper and lower shrouds.

  9. Depress the lock tabs on the left and right multi-function levers. Remove the multi-function levers.

  11. Disconnect the electrical housing electrical connectors.

  13. Disengage the retaining tabs on the park lock cable assembly. Remove the assembly from the ignition module.

  15. Remove the lock housing bolts.
  16. Turn the ignition key to the ACC position

  18. Separate the ignition housing from the multi-function bracket.
  19. Remove the ignition switch screws
  20. Remove the ignition switch.
