- Raise and suitably the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Remove the RH muffler assembly. Refer to Muffler Replacement - Right in Engine Exhaust.
- Clean any dirt from around the vehicle speed sensor.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the vehicle speed sensor (VSS).
- Remove the bolt retaining the VSS to the rear differential case.
- Remove the VSS from the differential case.
