2004 Oldsmobile Bravada AWDSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the spring and shock absorber assembly. Refer to Shock Absorber Replacement (FWD)  or Shock Absorber Replacement (AWD) .
  2. Use the J 45400  , or equivalent, in order to compress the spring.

  4. Use a wrench in order to hold the piston rod.

    Remove the upper nut.

  6. Remove the shock absorber upper insulator retainer (9).
  7. Remove the shock absorber upper insulator (8).
  8. Remove the shock absorber upper mount (7).
  9. Remove the shock absorber lower insulator (6).
  10. Remove the spring upper insulator (2).
  11. Remove the spring compressor.
  12. Remove the spring (3).
  13. Remove the jounce bumper (5).
  14. Remove the shock absorber (4).
