Throttle Body: Notes

2004 Oldsmobile Bravada AWDSECTION Notes
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 GMC Sierra, 2002 GMC Cab & Chassis Sierra, 2002 Chevrolet Silverado, and 2002 Chevrolet Cab & Chassis Silverado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION: DO NOT subject a throttle body assembly to an immersion cleaner or a strong solvent with electrical components or sensors attached. Solvents can also wash away or break down the grease used on non-serviceable throttle shaft bearings. DO NOT use a cleaner containing Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK). MEK is very strong and can damage components. Never use a wire brush or scraper to clean the throttle body. A wire brush or sharp tools may damage throttle body components.
