Removal Procedure

- Remove rear wiper arm. Refer to WIPER ARM REPLACEMENT - REAR .
- Open and support lift gate.
- Remove lift gate trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE .
- Remove wiper motor assembly. Refer to WIPER MOTOR REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE .
- Remove the lift gate window struts. Refer to STRUT REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE WINDOW . Remove the lift gate window. Refer to WINDOW REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE .
- Remove the lift gate window weather-strip. Refer to WEATHERSTRIP REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE WINDOW .
- Remove the lift gate applique. Refer to LIFT GATE APPLIQUE REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the license lamps. Refer to LICENSE LAMP REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the lift gate latch. Refer to LATCH REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE .
- Remove the lift gate window latch. Refer to LATCH REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE WINDOW .
- Remove the high mount stoplamp. Refer to HIGH MOUNTED STOP LAMP REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the lift gate harness. Refer to WIRING HARNESS REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE .
- Remove the rear wiper relay screws (3).
- Remove rear wiper relay (1) and bracket (4) from lift gate.
- Remove the lift gate struts. Refer to STRUT REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE .
- Place protective coverings over adjacent body panels.
- Mark the location of the lift gate hinges to the lift gate with a grease pencil.
