Installation Procedure
2004 Oldsmobile Bravada AWDSECTION Installation Procedure

- Install the battery positive cable to the vehicle.
- Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Install the battery positive cable and nut to the starter motor BAT terminal.
Tighten: Tighten the starter motor BAT terminal nut to 13 N.m (115 lb in).
- Install the battery positive cable to the conduit.
- Install the battery cable conduit to the conduit retainers.
- Install the lower radiator baffle. Refer to Radiator Air Baffle Assemblies and Deflectors in Engine Cooling.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Connect the battery positive cable to the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement (LA1) or Generator Replacement (LY7) .
- Install the battery positive cable and nut to the underhood electrical center.
Tighten: Tighten the nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Install the battery positive cable to the battery.
Tighten: Tighten the battery terminal nut to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
- Install the battery ground (negative) cable to the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (LA1) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (LY7) .
