The following conditions are for running a passive test (engine in open loop).

  • Engine coolant temperature is less than 230°F (110°C).
  • Intake air temperature is more than 50°F (10°C).
  • Battery voltage is more than 9 volts.

The following conditions are for running an active test (engine in closed loop).

  • Engine coolant temperature is more than 167°F (75°C).
  • Intake air temperature is more than 50°F (10°C).
  • Battery voltage is more than 9 volts.
  • Engine is operating is closed loop fuel control.
