  1. Connect the control module electrical connectors.
  2. Install the control module.
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
    3. Fig 1: View Of Energy Storage Control Module (5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2)

  3. Install the control module nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  4. Install the ESB intermediate cover. Refer to Energy Storage Box (ESB) Intermediate Cover Replacement (5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2) .
  5. Program the energy storage control module. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS) in Vehicle Control Systems.
