Cruise Control: Description and Operation

2005 Mitsubishi Lancer L4-2.4L SOHCSECTION Description and Operation
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
By using the auto-cruise control, the driver can select and maintain a desired cruising speed [between 40 km/h (25 mph) and 200 km/h (124 mph)] without depressing the accelerator pedal.

For this auto-cruise control system, in conjunction with the electronic throttle valve control system, the engine control module (ECM) or powertrain control module (PCM) electronically controls the throttle valve.
