The engine control module (ECM) or powertrain control module (PCM) monitors the condition of the emission control system.
NOTE: By selecting MODE 06 using a scan tool, Test Result and Limit Value minimum (*1) or maximum (*2) about the main items of the emission control system, which the ECM/PCM monitors, can be confirmed. The value at the last monitoring is output by ECM/PCM as a test result.
NOTE: "Test Limit Type & Component ID byte" output from the ECM/PCM is given in hexadecimal of "00" or "80". "00" means the maximum value and "80" means the minimum value. These hexadecimal values are not shown on the Multi Use Tester.
