- Disconnect battery.
- Unfasten screws and disconnect gong plug and On-Board Diagnosis socket and remove trim. See Figure .
- Remove clamping bolt. Press down on steering spindle. See Fig 1 .
- Unfasten cable connector. Remove steering angle sensor (1) from steering spindle. See Fig 2 .
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Pin for securing rotation (2) must engage in steering angle sensor (1). See Fig 2 .
- Secure cable with cable tie so that it is not tensioned when steering column is extended and retracted.
- Clamping screw must be located in retaining groove of upper steering spindle. Replace self-locking nut and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
