2013 Mini Cooper Countryman, Standard TransSECTION Removal & Installation

  1. Remove instrument panel lower trim. See INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER TRIM  .
  2. Disconnect plug connections on control unit. Unfasten screws. See Fig 1 .
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Base plate must not be twisted when control unit is installed. Tighten screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. After installation on vehicles with fully electric steering column, coding must be carried out when control unit is replaced. See BMW Diagnosis Program.
