Characteristic curve and setpoint values
The information on oil pressure is transmitted to the engine control unit via a signal line. The signal for evaluation of oil pressure fluctuates depending on the pressure. The measurement range extends from approximately 0.5 to 4.5 volts, corresponding to oil pressures of 0.5 bar (50 kPa) to 10.5 bar (1050 kPa).
