61 35 360 Removing and installing/replacing control unit for camera-based driver assistance systems (KAFAS)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Disconnect NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE
- Remove both battery earth leads at F03
- Remove trim panel for pedal mechanism. See TRIM PANEL (US ONLY) or TRIM PANEL (ECE ONLY) .
Disconnect plug connection (1).
Release screw (2).
Tightening torque 61 35 2AZ .
Pull control unit (3) out of equipment carrier (4) in direction of arrow.
Installation note:
Make sure control unit (3) is correctly installed in equipment carrier (4).
Replacement:
Carry out PROGRAMMING/ENCODING .
Carry out calibration:
- Service function
- Body
- Display and information functions
- Camera-based assist system
- Calibration of lane departure warning
